This is Year 37…here’s what I’ve learned

We've made another 365 around the sun and I've turned another year older. Every year should bring more wisdom, right?  These are some of the life lessons that are getting me through.

37. Do it right even when no one is looking.

36. Just breathe.

35. If you were meant to be controlled, you would have come with a remote.

34. A positive attitude may not solve all of your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth it.

33. No one can drive you crazy unless you give them the keys.

32. Never forget WHOSE you are.

31. Your life will reflect the priorities you live.

30. Understand the difference between someone who speaks to you on their free time and someone who frees their time to speak to you.

29. YOU ARE WORTHY.

28. Laughter will always be the best medicine. 

27. Respect people’s feelings even if it doesn’t mean anything to you; it could mean everything to them.

26. Common sense is like deodorant…..those who need it most don’t use it.

25. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean you accept their behavior or trust them. Forgive so YOU can move on with your life.

24. If you are the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong place.

23. Strangers can become bet friends just as easily as friends can become strangers.

22. We repeat what we don’t repair.

21. Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you.

20. You can’t control someone else’s loyalty. Ever.

19. Life isn’t about FINDING yourself. Life is about CREATING yourself.

18. Be the good….in all things.

17. People will talk behind your back; make sure to give them something to talk about.

16. Don’t feel guilty for doing what’s best for you.

15. Everyone is capable of hurting you. Find the ones worth suffering for.

14. Mistakes are just proof that you are trying.

13. God is never blind to your tears, never deaf to your prayers and never silent to your pain.

12. What others think of you is none of your business.

11. Life becomes easier when you accept the apology you never got.

10. Be loyal, but set limits.

09. Be yourself and the RIGHT people will love you. Everyone isn’t your people.

08. Don’t let your past imprison you. It was just a lesson not a life sentence.

07. There will be 3 types of people in your life. Those who help in difficult times, those who leave you in difficult times, and those who put you in difficult times.

06. Stop expecting loyalty from people who can’t give you honesty.

05. Stay patient and trust your journey.

04. Kindness is free…SPRINKLE THAT STUFF EVERYWHERE!!!!

03. Drink your water, eat your pineapple, and mind your business. 

02. Never sacrifice your family, your heart or your dignity.
